Job Summary Statement:   This position is a temporary position. The assignment will end on September 25, 2021. The end date is flexible. This position is responsible for the operation of assembly equipment to manufacture plastic parts for cooler related products meeting quality and production standards.   Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: - Manually assembles parts by following specific work instructions - Monitors parts/product for quality issues and notifies the Line Lead, Quality, Supervisor or Manager if a discrepancy is detected - Places fully assembled items in boxes into their designated locations - Follows all safety policies and procedures - Maintains good housekeeping practices in their work area and all common areas - Performs activities including screw gunning, foaming, cleaning and drain plug operation - Understands the escalation process in case he/she is not receiving the proper tools, training and guidance - Meets both Efficiency and Quality standards at all times while working on the lines - Monitors the assembly machinery for proper functionality and contact line lead or supervisor if any defects in the line or machinery are detected - Reports any activity or machinery that is unsafe to the Line Lead and/or Supervisor - Wears all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times - Adheres to dress code and hair policy - Complies with the company’s quality policy at all times - Exhibits regular, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance - May be required to work mandatory overtime and/or irregular hours and/or on irregular days to complete assignments and meet business needs - Relieves other Machine Operators as needed - Train operators as required - Participates in Continuous Improvement Initiatives - Supports Line Leaders as requested - Other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements and Qualifications: - No previous experience required - Physical Demands: - Able to lift a maximum of 35 lbs. multiple times a day during a 12 hour shift floor to waist level - Able to lift overhead up to 35 lbs. repetitively - Bend and stand in difficult positions up to 12 hours - Able to push up to 35 lbs. on rollers or wheels - Minimum height requirement of 60 inches - Must have solid attention to detail - Language skills: Able to read, write, speak and comprehend either English or Spanish - Math skills: Basic - Work environment: Manufacturing environment is hot and humid in summer months, cold during winter months. Job Summary Statement:   This position is responsible for operating a forklift to move raw materials to the manufacturing machines ensuring on-time availability for manufacturing of cooler related products accomplished in a safe and efficient manner.   Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: - Ensure safe working practices are followed and all accidents, hazards, near misses, and property damage is reported in the required time. - Ensure that production activities are carried out in accordance with approved procedures. - Ensure raw material flow up to the point of molding. - Ensure that safety and quality requirements are fulfilled. - Ensure that assigned processes are done within the allotted time per management. - Identify mechanical or process issues with their equipment and – if necessary – interact with Maintenance or Tool & Die to get the issues resolved. - Comply with all plant 5S standards, maintaining a clean working environment. This includes, but is not limited to: - Ensuring that material spills are immediately cleaned up, keeping aisle-ways clear; - Returning color to the correct storage areas; - Preventing the spill of plastic “fines”; - Keep cyclone/bag filters/gaylords of regrind emptied. - Aggressively keep plant total regrind levels to a minimum. - Make continuous cycles through the machines that are running; at each machine: - Remove worms from all blow molding heads; - Change and/or clean vacuum filters on each machine’s blender and surge bins; - Clean excess plastic from around the top of accumulators; - Clean the magnets above the feed throat. Clean all material spills as you go. - Remain current on forklift training and certification as required by supervisor, manager, and/or Igloo Safety - Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements and Qualifications: - Education: High school diploma or equivalency. - Experience: Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment; minimum of six (6) months of experience on the stand-up forklift with proof. - English language skills: Able to read, write, speak and comprehend English. - Math skills: Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide. - Physical Demands: Manufacturing environment. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly, able to stand for long periods of time, able to climb stairs, walk quickly and stoop and bend. - Work conditions: Manufacturing environment; Hot and humid in summer months, cold in winter months.
