Monitor product for any quality issues. - Accurately Track production and rejects on production form. - Verify that equipment is operating properly. Job Summary Statement:   This position is responsible for operating a forklift to move raw materials to the manufacturing machines ensuring on-time availability for manufacturing of cooler related products accomplished in a safe and efficient manner.   Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: - Ensure safe working practices are followed and all accidents, hazards, near misses, and property damage is reported in the required time. - Ensure that production activities are carried out in accordance with approved procedures. - Ensure raw material flow up to the point of molding. - Ensure that safety and quality requirements are fulfilled. - Ensure that assigned processes are done within the allotted time per management. - Identify mechanical or process issues with their equipment and – if necessary – interact with Maintenance or Tool & Die to get the issues resolved. - Comply with all plant 5S standards, maintaining a clean working environment. This includes, but is not limited to: - Ensuring that material spills are immediately cleaned up, keeping aisle-ways clear; - Returning color to the correct storage areas; - Preventing the spill of plastic “fines”; - Keep cyclone/bag filters/gaylords of regrind emptied. - Aggressively keep plant total regrind levels to a minimum. - Make continuous cycles through the machines that are running; at each machine: - Remove worms from all blow molding heads; - Change and/or clean vacuum filters on each machine’s blender and surge bins; - Clean excess plastic from around the top of accumulators; - Clean the magnets above the feed throat. Clean all material spills as you go. - Remain current on forklift training and certification as required by supervisor, manager, and/or Igloo Safety - Other duties as assigned. Reporting includes but is not limited to line clearance report, hourly production board update, foam parameters checks and end of the shift report. - Anytime there is any abnormal performance condition going on that keeps the line from achieving the expected Safety, Quality, Efficiency, Attainment or any other key indicator goal, the Line Lead must report it immediately to his/her supervisor for action to be taken to determine a resolution for the issue. - As a prerequisite all Line Leads are to be certified in all core positions (screw gunning, foaming, cleaning and drain plug installing). - Prior to shift start up or at product change over, Line Lead must verify that DJR (Discrete Job Report) match each component listed and the finish product as whole. - Ensure the goal for Efficiency and Attainment numbers are met, 95% or above. Report any issues that are keeping the line from reaching 95% or above, immediately to the supervisor. - Line Lead is required to fill out Scrap Tickets (Non-Conforming Material Ticket) during and at the end of the shift, ensuring they are filled out properly and accurately with all the required information. Also, these scrap tickets are to be submitted in a timely manner. - Once a toolbox is provided to the Line Lead, they are responsible to bring it to work, every day they are present. - Ensure that ALL unused components and materials are returned to warehouse at the end of run. - Line Lead is responsible for ALL production to be counted, tagged and sent to the warehouse at the end of run. - Troubleshoot solutions for technical problems, associated with assigned processes. - The work area(s) are required to be maintained in a clean and organized manner at all times. - Carry out other duties as may be required. Job Summary Statement:   This position will define, Technical support to the Quality Assurance Engineering Department.
