Job Summary Statement:

The Logistics Coordinator position is responsible for providing clerical and customer support for the Distribution Department in routing and scheduling orders per customer routing guides.  The position also works with the carrier and customer in addressing customer freight requirements.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• General routing of customer orders.
• Coordinating pick up appointments with carriers.
• Assisting with general office functions.
• Work closely with freight companies to ensure orders are handled and shipped correctly.
• Communicate with customer’s traffic and routing departments.
• Troubleshoot systems issues.
• Prepare Shipping documents.
• Reschedule pickups when needed.
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve purchase order problems.
• Provide support for other Coordinators.
• Other duties as assigned.

      Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalency.
• Experience: Minimum of two (2) years general office experience or customer service/logistics.
• English language skills: Able to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
• Computer skills: Basic level Excel. Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Communication skills: Excellent phone Etiquette and written communication skills.
• Math skills: Able to add, subtract, multiple and divide; some problem-solving algebra.
• Physical Demands: General Office environment; sitting for 8 hours.
• Work environment: General Office environment.

      Preferred Qualifications:

• Oracle experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics
